Watching Matjaz Belsak's winning quest throughout the year, it was very difficult to image how he could be stopped on his way to the ultimate championship title in 2017. Fierce hard worker, always striving for improvement and further progress, this Slovenian power athlete arrived to the World Finals in Mexico with one single purpose. The rest is history.

Belsak dominated in almost every discipline in the event, except "Car Deadlift" (won by J.F Caron with 10 repetitions), "Front Hold" (first place for Luke Herrick) and "One-Arm Kettlebell Throw" (where Dennis Kohlruss registered 5.10m with 26kg weight). Matjaz was absolutely unbelievable in the dumbbell discipline and as a result he set a new world record – 14 repetition for 60 seconds with 95kg weight. In addition Belsak was ahead of everyone in "Carry and Drag", "Bus Pull" and "The Medley". ...

Last Saturday in Corinth more that 5000 people witnessed one of the best-organized competitions in the calendar of SCL. The local hosts demontrated real olympic traditions in event management, allowing the athletes to enjoy to the fullest Greece's beauty, nature and delicious food. And thank God the winners had indeed big arms so that they were able to hold their several trophies, appompanied by the traditional for this country laurel wreath....

In the latest Curacao event, the title-holder in 2016 – Dainis Zageris, again showed beyond doubt how when it is not troubled by traumas, his body is unstoppable. True to the strategy he has been following in most of his victorious contests, Zageris won his crown discipline Car Deadlift, where he literally blew away his rivals, and in the other rounds managed to qualify between second and forth place. That's how "The Titan" overall final result pumped up to 53 points, making him the Strongman conquer of sunny Curacao. ...

This season is going pretty much flawless for Matjaz Belsak, who last weekend managed to extend his gold medal collection with one more trophy. The event in Vaasa quicky became a real test for the athletes due to the harsh weather conditions. The chilly temperature and pouring rain on Day 1 raised the level of difficulty in every single discipline, allowing the participants to show what a true strongman is made of – uncompromising determination, fierce self-control and huge heart.

Matjaz Belsak, and this goes without saying, displayed again an array of great skills and techniques. His energy throughout the competition kept him on top of the ranking and his final result of 80.5 points - 11 more than the second Dainis Zageris (69.5), represented well the actual ratio of forces in Finland....

Canada's Strongest Man Jean-Francois Caron celebrates his debut in MLO SCL Canada with remarkable victory over 2017 MLO Strongman Champions League leader Matjaz Belsak. In fact, this was Caron`s second win from two starts! Success in Canada shuttles him to 4th place in 2017 MLO SCL overall standings with 50 points.

Matjaz Belsak who saw his fragile lead after Day 1 diminished by Caron, wasn`t very upset in the end, because the second place extended his overall advantage to 41 pts. ahead of his closest rival, Graham Hicks of England, after first 6 stages of this year`s MLO Strongman Champions League....

On July 22th the beautiful mountain resort Zlatibor in Serbia became a witness of Matjaz Belsak's latest triumph as he achieved his third win in MLO Strongman Champion League this year.

Even though Matjaz did make some small mistakes in the course of the event, in the end his remarkable strength skills and professionalism saved the day. Equipped as usual with his trademark characteristics – super motivation, fierce spirit and impressive stamina, Matjaž Belšak from Slovenia was without any doubt the rightful champion of MLO SCL GERMANY FIBO. His total score of 71 points left little chance for catching up in the final ranking for Tom Stoltmen who finished second with 58 points and Dennis Kohlruss who grabbed the bronze with 55.5 points.

A definite highlight in this SCL Stage 2 was that last weekend in Germany for the first time Strongman Champions League introduced its new rules. 14 athletes start each competition. After the first three disciplines, two of them drop out - those with the lowest scores. ...

Perfect organization from the local hosts. Weather conditions for real man. Competitors eager to begin the new season with a flying start. That sums up pretty well the last edition of MLO Strongman Champions League, which took place in the pretty town of Vinstra, Norway.

Also known as “The Strongest Viking”, this first event from the 2017's calendar set a very high bar, showing how much progress, willpower and strength development have managed to achieve some of the athletes during the season break. Jean-Francois Caron from Canada proved once again that he masters the viking spirit and might by finishing in 1st place with 59 points, which was almost 6 point more than Krzysztof Radzikowski from Poland. This is a second title in a row for Caron, who also won MLO SCL Norway in 2016....

Dainis Zageris is the absolute champion of MLO SCL WORLD FINALS 2016 in Dubai

After 2 days, 6 events and dozen of unquestionably heavy weights, Dainis Zageris is the new champion of MLO Strongman Champions League. Last weekend the mighty Latvian swept away his opponents in the final competition of the series, which took place in Dubai. Zageris was invincible at the top with 56 points, followed by the champion from 2015 – Krzysztof Radzikowski with 48 points and Matjaz Belsak with 46 points.

Despite the extremely hot weather conditions, the competition in Dubai was full of memorable performances and strong results. In Day 1, Krzysztof Radzikowski registered a well-deserved victory in the discipline Car Pull, Eric Dawson triumphed in Rocklift, where the athletes had to lift three stones with different weight (100 kg, 110 kg, 130 kg) and Dainis Zageris finished first in Pole Pull without a single lost in all of his matches against the other Strongman participants....

Needless to say, as the grand finale of season 2016 is just around the corner, now every single battle in Strongman Champions League is more than crucial - especially for the leaders in the ranking. Despite the huge pressure of the yellow T-Shirt, last weekend Dainis Zageris showed once and for all that he deserve to bring home the gold trophy from MLO SCL Portugal.

Zageris, who was in second position after Day 1 of the tournament in Porto, managed to overcome the strong resistance of Krzysztof Radzikowski, by making some impeccable holds in the discipline Log Lift. Radzikowski, a highly experienced fighter himself, finished first after Day 1 with good results in Forward Hold and frame Carry, but in the end Dainis Zageris beat his numbers by just one point - 54 pts vs 53 pts....

In the unique Caribbean paradise of Curacao, a strongman from Quebec forged his tremendous victory - an achievement done both with pure power and a little bit of luck at the end. On the Day 1 Jimmy Paquet won “Trapbar Deadlift” ( 355 kg) and “Stone Loglift”(100 kg) but Dainis Zageris, who wore MLO SCL Leader`s Yellow T-Shirt, managed to equal his points with the Canadian debutant. Mateusz Baron wins sweeping victory in MLO SLC Romania

After two days, seven events and some surprising twists and turns, Mateusz Baron from Poland is the new winner in MLO Strongman Champions League Romania. He finished first in key disciplines such as “Log lift” and “frame Walk”, which in the end of the competiton allowed him to decorate his chest with the gold medal. Alex Moonen took the silver, but also showed amazing strength skills, especially in the “Truck pull”. Martin Wildauer conquered the bronze, whereas Stoyan Todorchev who started the tournament wearing Leader's Yellow T-Shirt, unanticipatedly remained in 8th place.

Simon Boudreau from Canada triumphs in MLO SCL Finland

Last weekend Simon Boudreau scored a victory to remember on his debut in Strongman Champions League. Despite the continuous rain in Day 2, Boudreau revealed excellent physical form and finished the competition with overall result of 57 points. The Canadian titan gave a remarkable performance in the discipline “Hercules hold” with accomplishment of one minute (the second best result in the ranking being 40 seconds).

Boudreau was constantly cheered by the public in Vaasa which played a huge part in his success. He communicated with the local people throughout the whole competition and this positive attitude helped him made new friends that boosted his motivation even further. Sean “The Giant” O'Hagan from Ireland ,who earned a place in the top 10, also received a lot of praise from the Finnish fans. All the participants in SCL Finland fought till the end, turning this edition of the series into a thrilling spectacle, where just one point was enough to decide your fate. ...

USA domination in 2016 MLO SCL England – Eric Dawson scored another brilliant victory in his career

With overall result of 61,5 points American Eric Dawson won the latest round of Strongman Champion Series in England. This is his second victory for the season and it looks like the big boy form Hubertus, Wisconsin is about to become the sensation of SCL 2016.

Dawson took the leadership early in the competition after he finished first in two very tough disciplines - “Hercules hold with cars” and “Stone of steel lift”. As a reward for his hearty game, Eric set a new world record in “Stone of steel lift” alongside with his fellow Bulgarian athlete Stoyan Todorchev. Needless to say, the local public was filled with awe when they witnessed how the two Strongmen overpowered the immensive challenge of 183 kg....

For the first time in history of sports, Bulgarian athlete triumphed in round of Strongman Champions Series. On July 24th Stoyan Todorchev achieved a prestigious victory on home soil in Plovdiv, where he managed to set three new world records. On his way to the gold medal Stoyan overcome the opposition of Matjaž Belšak from Slovenia – the current leader in the ranking for 2016 and Dainis Zageris (Latvia), who was the runner from 2015.
