57 years of excellence, and still counting – a brief tour in MLO’s legacy through the century

November 1964 was the day when one very long journey began. On this date, MLO Products was established as a subsidiary of Genisoy Food Company, Inc. Initially, MLO started as a sports nutrition brand with a focus on soy proteins, drinks and bars. The main target of its first line of supplements was athletes between the ages of 15 and 40 and a wide audience of health-conscious consumers.

Later, MLO was actively involved in the universe of fitness and bodybuilding, supporting various prestigious expos as well as individual competitors from different continents. Nowadays, MLO is endorsed as the brand of heavy lifters, power athletes, and strongmen players. Moreover, since 2016 MLO has been the official partner of Strongman Champions League - a strongman competition circuit with 16 Grand Prix events broadcasted worldwide with a total reach of over 1 billion viewers.

MLO has remained loyal to its progressive nature for more than half a century. Always in the hunt for cutting-edge technologies and unique designs, the company created several masterpiece supplements throughout the years. Even to this day, discontinued iconic products such as Mus-L Blast, Hardbody Gainer 3600, and Brown Rice Protein have a substantial base of fans. Not only that - their original old packages could be found for sale in specialized online forums and stores.

As a sports supplements company, MLO has consistently demonstrated an aptitude for teamwork and collaboration. Being able to communicate and receive feedback from professional athletes and everyday fitness lovers and fans is a crucial part of the brand’s philosophy. Therefore, regular participation in business-related expositions, fitness events, and bodybuilding competitions became a solid tradition. MLO was present with its supplements at Arnold Classic, FIBO Germany, NPC Worldwide Balkan Grand Prix, just to name a few. In 1996/1997, MLO initiated its MLO All American Strength Team award to celebrate the best college football players. From 2000 to 2004, the company was a leading sponsor of MLO Olimpia –a hard body fitness weekend in Hungary, and in 2017 – a diamond sponsor of Arnold Classics Europe.

We could go on and on selecting highlights from MLO’s journey so far, but the future is our top priority. While we are exceptionally grateful to have such a legacy on our shoulders, we prefer to remain focused on our latest endeavors and growth. We believe the best way to honour MLO’s long history is to create new, innovative, high-standard supplements. We are happy enough to live in a time when technologies constantly evolve, allowing us to refine every formula and end product. The sole purpose of our ever-growing supplements line is to chase the perfect balance of quality and price. You, our customers, deserve nothing less.
